With a blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Marselan and 5% Merlot, this multi-award-winning wine displays a deep cherry colour, with fresh red fruit aromas and black pepper and cassis. The palate reveals a soft and juicy red wine with a long and complex finish.
Rongzi Winery is situated on the beautiful, great Loess Plateau (35°-36°N, altitude 3600 feet), in Shanxi, in the central region of China where the early cradle of Chinese civilisation was formed. The Loess soil is more than 200 metres thick, and the area has an outstanding natural microclimate. Rongzi is a state-of-the-art wine producer, and the meticulous attention to detail in both the vineyard and the winery guarantee elegance and finesse in the winery’s whole range of wines.
The winemaker at Rongzi is world-renowned Jean-Claude Berrouet, former winemaker of the famous Château Pétrus.
