Aged for 9 months in oak barrels and 6 months in bottles, this Tempranillo displays a dark ruby colour, with blueberry, mulberry and plum aromas characterising the nose. The palate reveals moderate acidity and delicate tannins, with a long finish.
Martin Winery was founded in 1997, with the support of former British Prime Minister Sir Edward Heath when he was on a state visit to China in 1996, accompanied by over 200 British business leaders. The winery was initially a joint venture between a British and a Chinese enterprise. Martin Vineyard rests in harmony with its natural habitat in Yanhuai Valley (40°N, altitude 2500 feet), Huailai in northern China, and is renowned for its distinctive traditional Chinese grape varieties and wines that perfectly express the local terroir.
